Background

Hello I’m Rebecca Barlow, an experienced Level 7 specialist dyslexia assessor based in Chiddingfold (GU8). I assess children aged 8-15 in Surrey and surrounding areas. I have a current Assessment Practising Certificate through The Dyslexia Guild.

I first became interested in supporting children with literacy challenges whilst working as a primary school teacher. This led to me undertaking postgraduate training with Dyslexia Action to become a specialist teacher and assessor. I am passionate about making the assessment a positive experience for children and supporting them to understand how they learn and build their confidence and self-esteem.

Our Services

  • Formal comprehensive diagnostic assessment for children aged 8-15 years. The full range of cognitive and attainment areas are assessed and a diagnosis given,if applicable. This assessment is recognised by schools and colleges.

  • A shorter non-diagnostic assessment to inform a teaching plan for under 8s. Bespoke design to match the current areas of concern.

  • Exam Access Arrangements assessments for secondary schools. with completion of Form 8s.
